  • Representation in the negotiation of contract details with attorney representing intended parents or egg donor

  • Advise on all legal matters related to the donation of the eggs before the contract is complete. For example, intended parents and donors should agree on the control of the eggs and resultant embryos, confidentiality of the relationship and the expectation of the future of the relationship, etc.

 
 

Embryo Donation

The use of a donated embryo is a special arrangement that gives hope to couples or individuals that want to have a family.  Ryan advises same-sex couples, heterosexual couples, and individuals about protecting their parental rights in an egg donation agreement, memorializing the intentions and obligations of the parties.

  • Draft embryo donation contract for intended parents or review and advise on existing embryo donation contract for donor

  • Ensure that all clearances are obtained prior to donation (e.g. an egg donor may need to be notified)

  • Advise on all legal matters related to the donation of the embryos before the contract is complete. For example, intended parents and donors should agree on the control of the embryos and any unused embryos, confidentiality of the relationship and the expectation of the future of the relationship, etc.
